Privacy Policy
We appreciate your interest in our online shop.
Protecting your privacy is very important to us. In this privacy policy, Contactlinsenlounge (hereinafter "we", "us", "the company") outlines its procedures regarding data collected from users (hereinafter "users", "customers") who access our website at www.dry-eye.at or otherwise provide us with personal data.
Below we provide you with detailed information about how we handle your data.
1. What is personal data?
Personal data within the meaning of the GDPR (Art. 4 para. 1 no. 1 GDPR) is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name or email address, but also the IP address you use to access our services. If, in the course of using our services, you provide information about your visual acuity or other medical information necessary for the provision of corrective vision aids such as contact lenses, this constitutes health data within the meaning of Art. 4 no. 15 GDPR, which is subject to special protection as personal data.

3. What data is collected?
We collect two types of data and information from users.
3.1 Non-personal data
This category includes non-identifying and non-identifiable user data provided or collected through the use of the website. We do not know the identity of the user from whom non-personal data was collected. Non-personal data that may be collected includes aggregated usage data and technical data transmitted by your device, including certain information regarding software and hardware (e.g., browser and operating system used, language settings, access time, etc.). We use this data to improve the functionality of our website. We may also collect data about your activity on the website (e.g., pages visited, browsing behavior, clicks, actions, etc.).
3.2 personal data
Personal data identifies an individual or can identify an individual through reasonable means.
Such data includes:
- Device data:
We collect personal data from your device, such as geolocation data, IP address, unique identifiers (e.g. MAC address and UUID) and other data resulting from your activity on the website.
- Personal data:
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us in connection with your order or when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or email).
Required fields are marked as such because in these cases we absolutely need the data for contract processing or to process your contact request, and without providing this information you cannot complete the order or send the contact request.
The specific data collected is evident from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b GDPR for contract processing and handling your inquiries.
4. Data collection, use, storage (deletion) for contract processing and contacting you
By initiating the order process within our online shop, we process the data you provide, such as your name, address, email address, product and order information, as well as billing and payment data.
We use this data to fulfill the contractual obligations of the order; the legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Insofar as health data within the meaning of Article 9(1) GDPR is required for this purpose, it will be processed exclusively for the fitting, delivery, and correct provision of the ordered contact lenses, as well as for providing advice on lenses and care products, and not for marketing purposes. The legal basis for this is Article 9(2)(h) GDPR.
Insofar as we use cookies, tracking technologies or web analytics tools, this is done on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, in order to make our website functional, user-friendly and secure, and to optimize our services.
If you have consented to processing based on your consent (e.g., for marketing cookies or newsletters), you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You can withdraw your consent via our cookie consent tool on the website or by email to [email address missing]. office@contactlinsenlounge.at
For contact forms: After the user has given their consent, filled in the required fields and finally submitted the contact form, the user agrees that the data may be used to process the contact request.
Your shopping cart will be saved for 30 days. After the contract has been fully processed or your inquiry has been completely resolved, your data will be restricted from further processing and deleted after the statutory retention periods under tax and commercial law have expired. Specifically, this means that, for example, invoice and accounting data will be stored for 7 years, while contact details from inquiries that did not result in a purchase will be deleted after 30 days, unless further consent has been given.
You can delete your data at any time, either by sending a message to the contact details provided below or via a contact form.
We use IONOS SE, Gumpendorfer Straße 142/PF 266, 1060 Vienna, to operate our online shop.

5. Data sharing
Your data will only be passed on to third parties or processors in accordance with the information in the privacy policy.
Specifically:
For the purpose of fulfilling the contract and processing orders, shipping, payment, and invoicing, data may be transferred to shipping providers, credit institutions, and other service providers for order processing, in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b GDPR. These companies receive personal data, for example, within the scope of so-called order processing, to the extent necessary for the respective task. The use of this data by the commissioned companies for their own purposes is not contractually agreed upon, unless otherwise stated.
Depending on the payment service provider you select during the ordering process, we will forward the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us, or to the selected payment service.
The company uses Stripe, Paypal, Google Pay and Apple
We use Stripe as our payment service provider to process payments. Stripe offers various payment methods, including credit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Personal data required for payment processing will be shared with Stripe. Please see Stripe's privacy policy for details. https://stripe.com/de/privacy.
If the customer selects PayPal as the payment method, the payment will be processed via PayPal. Personal data required for payment processing (e.g., name, email address, payment information) will be transmitted to PayPal. Please refer to PayPal's privacy policy. https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.
In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you will need to log in to the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. The data privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this respect.
